Mike Mussina Retires, Paris Dumps Benji

Yankees Pitcher, Mike Mussina, 40, has announced his retirement today which has been anticipated since mid-August. Mussina is leaving on a high note as he beat the Red Sox in Fenway Park on the last day of the season for his 20th victory. It was the first time in an 18-year career that he won 20 games. Mussina began his career with the Baltimore Orioles, before arriving to NY in 2000 and finishes with a record of 270-153. Mike Mussina was one of the best Pitcher’s in the AL and proved that old age wasn’t enough to slow him down as he finished off the ‘08 season with a bang. He is certainly a good candidate for the Hall of Fame and will be remembered and missed on the field.

In other news, Paris Hilton has officially broken up with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden. This actually seemed like Paris’ most stable relationship as she has been out of trouble for the most part the past year or so. After pics surfaced of her and her ex flame Stavors Niarchos at a club in Miami this past weekend, the relationship was doomed. Benji will go back to making atrocious teenage pop punk and Paris will go back to spreading the herp. No harm, no foul.

I’ll miss Moose for sure, but I just wanted to say I laughed when I saw you tagged Herpes for the Paris Hilton split. Too funny.
