Rumor: Transformers 3 Death?

According to Pop Crunch (via In Touch Weekly magazine), director Michael Bay wants to kill off female lead Mikaela Banes (played by Megan Fox) in the next installment, which is slated for a summer 2011 release. Bay reportedly wants Fox’s character written “out of the series in a gory death scene in the first few frames of Transformers 3 and (replace) with another gorgeous young actress.”

The magazine’s purported source claims “‘Michael’s pretty much discovered Megan and now he’s very quietly looking for her replacement. … He hasn’t decided if he’s going to kill her off in the next movie, but he just wants to be prepared.’”

According to Digital Spy, however, Fox’s reps have called the report untrue.

Bay and Fox engaged in an infamous war of words this summer during the promotion of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, with the actress even comparing her director to Hitler at one point.

RIP DJ AM

Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) passed away this morning in his New York City apartment in what is being speculated as a drug overdose. AM was one of the most revered DJ’s of this generation, getting his start in the Philadelphia club scene, before moving West to LA and becoming the resident DJ for the Roots and branching off to do big name parties and club appearances across the world.

DJ AM survived a plane crash last September when his private jet skidded off the runway and burst in flames. Also surviving the crash was Blink 182 drummer and member of TRVSDJAM, Travis Barker. DJ AM has made numerous television appearances, including HBO’s Entourage, MTV Cribs, and The Simple Life with Paris and Nicole. DJ AM was known for his famous relationships as well, including Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore. He was an innovator as a DJ, mastering the art of mash ups using music that crossed all type’s of genre’s. You could hear Lynyrd Skynrd going into Mariah Carey going into Modest Mouse at a typical show. He was inspired by classic rock, old school hip hop, and pop music. A true talent who was taken away at far too young of an age. He will be greatly missed.

Breaking News: Michael Jackson Dies

We’ve just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince “Blanket” Michael Jackson II.

Jackson had 13 number one hits during his solo career.

RIP Farrah Fawcett

Wow 2 major celebrity deaths back to back on this site. First Ed McMahon and now 70’s sex symbol Farrah Fawcett. After an intense battle with cancer, Fawcett passed away this morning at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica. Her family and husband Ryan O’ Neal at her side.

Ryan O’Neal just released the following: “After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world.”

RIP Ed McMahon, Dead at 86

Ed McMahon passed away earlier this morning in Los Angeles at the age of 86. The former Tonight Show funnyman had battled a litany of health problems in recent years including bone cancer and breaking his neck in 2007. McMahon was also facing financial woes with his property being foreclosed and carrying a large debt. While he is most known as being Johnny Carson’s sidekick on the Tonight Show, a younger generation will remember him from Star Search and his commercials for million dollar home sweepstakes.

Ed McMahon’s legacy in late night television will long live on through the Tonight Show. Who can forget his infamous catchphrase, “Heeeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!” He will be missed.

Mickey Rourke as Whiplash in Iron Man 2

The first pic of Mickey Rourke as villain Whiplash from the Iron Man sequel has been released. Umm I dont know much about this character but Rourke certainly looks like a trainwreck… I’ll need to see a trailer before I can pass any real judgment though.

– The cover for Rolling Stone’s expose on Adam Lambert has been revealed. This is the issue where Lambert will finally come out of the closet which is no surprise to anyone following his career. “I don’t think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I’m gay,” Lambert says in the new issue of Rolling Stone, hitting newsstands this week. I’m glad he is atleast owning who he is and this will hopefully create even more acceptance for gay’s in the public.

– Liam Neeson is in negotiations with 20th Century Fox to star in its long-gestating bigscreen adaptation of “The A-Team” as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith. Bradley Cooper is in early talks to play Lt. – More troubles on the set of the Robin Hood reboot in London. The New York Post has a big story on heated battles between the film’s star Russell Crowe and it’s director Ridley Scott:

HOT-tempered Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott are said to be squabbling like a couple of gladiators on the British set of their latest collaboration, Universal’s big-budget Robin Hood flick.

“The producers had to fly to London because Russell and Ridley won’t talk to each other,” an insider told Page Six. “Every time they stop filming, it costs the production millions of dollars.”

It would be the latest glitch for the $175 million movie, which was originally titled “Nottingham” but is now just “Untitled Robin Hood Project.”

Last December, we revealed how Crowe no longer wanted to work with Scott, whom he blamed for their disastrous fourth collaboration, “Body of Lies.” Then, in January, we reported how the Oscar-winning hothead ordered producers to get a new director and demanded script rewrites that devoted more of the plot to him.

The delays caused Sienna Miller to drop out, and Crowe had to go on a crash diet to drop 35 pounds because, as one producer noted, “We can’t have Robin Hood looking more like Friar Tuck.”

Crowe’s publicist, Alan Nierob, denied that there’s any friction between star and director, insisting, “It’s a good scene down there. Everything is on schedule.”

Breaking News: Jay Leno Hospitalized

“The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno has been hospitalized, according to Los Angeles TV station KTLA.

The station quoted the show’s spokeswoman Tracy St. Pierre, who said Leno had checked himself in to the hospital because he wasn’t feeling well and confirmed that tonight’s show taping has been canceled.

She would not elaborate on the comedian’s condition.

Ryan Reynolds, Jules Sylvester and swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy were scheduled to appear on tonight’s show, which will be replaced with a repeat.
