First Look: Iron Man 2

April 30, 2009

The sequel to last year’s smash hit “Iron Man” doesnt open til May 7, 2010, but that’s not stopping Jon Favreau from releasing the first official pic of the new film. The film takes place six months after Stark revealed his identity as Iron Man, says director Jon Favreau. And the development is playing out with unexpected results. “How many superheroes are open about their true identities?” he asks. “We wanted to play with that idea. But it obviously has consequences — in his relationships, on the team. There are a lot of areas we can explore.”

Favreau says that tackling the franchise a second time is easier because he knows the landscape. Something else would help, too: “I really enjoyed when we were a dark horse and no one knew much about us. … I hope we can find that place again.”

His and Her’s Gadgets

April 30, 2009

Theres a ton of great new accessories and gadgets coming out onto the marketplace. Some are strictly for men, and well some are strictly for women. Gizmodo has pics of the first ever USB vibrator:

Obviously this is meant for the tech nympho on the go. Those lonely nights away on business just got a bit more fun. Men shouldn’t feel left out though, they can atleast get a fun NES inspired mouse to navigate those bookmarked sites with:

— Some news about Microsoft’s new Windows 7 OS has been leaked. Apparently Acer is advertising that their new PC’s will come preloaded with it starting October 23. This makes sense for a release date as the Release Candidate version of the OS is out on May 5. Any computer purchased 30 days before Windows 7 becomes available will get a free upgrade as well.

Batman 3

April 29, 2009

bale-batman has an interview with Christian Bale up where he talks about the possibility of a third Batman film:

Christian Bale has been talking to Total Film about Batman 3, and it seems the project is no nearer to actually being in development.

He said: “Will we do a third movie? It’s got to be the right story. You can’t make something like The Dark Knight and then come out with something disappointing.

He said the challenge of making a good threequel is driving him on: “I would like it if people say, ‘You’ll never make a good third movie.’ I say, ‘OK, let’s make a third movie in that case, let’s prove them wrong. But that’s just me.

It also sounds as though Bale would be reluctant to star in a third Batman if director Christopher Nolan wasn’t involved: “The fact is, I have to [appear in the film]! I’ve signed up! Chris [Nolan] doesn’t. So I’m in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn’t want to!”

Theres good news and bad news with this. The bad news is that we probably won’t see another Batman movie for atleast 3 years, but the good news is if they do make a third one someday it will have a great script as nobody on the original cast is looking to just rush out a half assed film to capitalize on the success of the prior 2. I am hoping we can see more Batman on the big screen and know WB will make a move at some point, let’s just hope that when they do that Nolan and Bale are still going to be a part of it.

Ghostbusters Game Opening Cinematic

April 25, 2009

The Ghostbuster’s game is due out this summer and will play out as a “third movie” featuring voice overs from the actual cast. This is a bit of a blast from the past for people of our generation that grew up on Ghostbusters and its great that the development team at Atari are taking this game so seriously and making it true to the originals.

Madden 2010 Cover Unveiled

April 24, 2009

EA Sports has unveiled the new cover for Madden 2010 and this year there’s two athlete’s who need to worry about the Madden Curse. Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu share the cover this year and its pretty damn slick. I don’t know if I’m going to buy this game as lately its just been a roster upgrade every year for the most part, but it seems like EA is pushing for a big release this year.

“The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno has been hospitalized, according to Los Angeles TV station KTLA.

The station quoted the show’s spokeswoman Tracy St. Pierre, who said Leno had checked himself in to the hospital because he wasn’t feeling well and confirmed that tonight’s show taping has been canceled.

She would not elaborate on the comedian’s condition.

Ryan Reynolds, Jules Sylvester and swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy were scheduled to appear on tonight’s show, which will be replaced with a repeat.

Dominos introduces Bread Bowl Pastas

April 22, 2009

So just a couple days after making headlines with the antics of two twisted employees, Dominos Pizza has came out swinging with a brand new dish. Copying Pizza Hut’s tuscani pasta line, Dominos has now introduced individual Bread Bowl’s featuring penne pasta. There are 5 different flavors to choose from: Italian Sausage Marinara, Pasta Primavera, Chicken Alfredo, Three Cheese Mac-N-Cheese and Chicken Carbonara.

If none of those strike your fancy you can pick 3 ingredients from the dominos menu and make your own bread bowl. Right now the price is ranging from 4.99 – 7.99 but if you order online you can save $1 for a limited time. I’m a bit hesitant to try this but would welcome any comments from those who were feeling a bit more brave.
