In the wake of producing an abortion-themed episode FOX has decided not to air, Family Guy is going to take a trip over to the conservative side for another upcoming installment. The Hollywood Reporter’s James Hibberd reveals that some big Republican names — including talk show host Rush Limbaugh and Bush administration key player Karl Rove — will be guest starring on the animated series.

The episode involves the liberal Brian becoming bored and frustrated with Barack Obama in office, feeling he has nothing to complain about. His solution? Become a Republican and begin taking advice from the likes of Limbaugh.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane tells the Reporter, “Family Guy tends to be very liberal because its written by liberals. So we thought lets give the other side some face time. So we put it out there to a lot of Republicans — ‘we’re doing this show, who wants in?’– and we got some bites. I’m sure the reaction from some will be ‘you monsters, how could you have Karl Rove on your show?'”
